Among\u00a0the proposed actions, the Chiefs have denounced the lack of tools and\u00a0resources for\u00a0First Nations to provide adequate services and tackle social issues\u00a0and the\u00a0root causes. In order to address the situation in Val-\u2010d\u2019Or,\u00a0the\u00a0Chief \u00a0of the AFNQL held a meeting\u00a0with Premier\u00a0Couillard in Montr\u00e9al, on November 4, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In light of the situation in \u00a0Val-\u00add\u2019Or, the\u00a0AFNQL and the First Nations of Quebec and\u00a0Labrador Health and Social Services\u00a0Commission (FNQLHSSC) have\u00a0been\u00a0getting\u00a0many requests for information from First Nations members concerning what to do if they want to make complaints or disclosures concerning Criminal Acts such as sexual\u00a0abuse\u00a0or assault,\u00a0and what\u00a0kind\u00a0of support can they access.<\/p>\n<p>In order to guide First Nations\u00a0members in\u00a0their request to make\u00a0complaints\u00a0or\u00a0requests for\u00a0support, please refer to the following\u00a0information:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/old-caodanak.asban.dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Note-info-services-soutien_community-members-2015-10-30_eng1.pdf\">Information Guide<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Given the\u00a0current social crisis, the Chiefs of the Assembly of First Nations Quebec-\u00adLabrador (AFNQL)\u00a0met in Val-\u00add&#8217;Or, on October 27, to target priorities requiring immediate action.
