REMINDER TO ALL HUNTERS AND FISHERMEN
Following a number of issues raised in relation to hunting and fishing and travel between regions related to these traditional activities, we would like to remind you of the protection measures provided by the Government of Québec and its Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs.
By CLICKING HERE, you will find a wealth of information about the respect of the measures in place governing the activities of hunters and fishermen. Hunters can, among other things, register their game within 48 hours in two different ways:
- By filling out the online form (for those who have access to a computer)
- By answering automated questions by phone at 1-877-346-6763
We reiterate that Public Health guidelines apply to everyone at all times.

NOTICE TO THE POPULATION | COVID-19
Dear members of the community,
We wish to inform you of two decisions taken by the elected members of the Abenaki Council of Odanak today.
First of all, next week will be the last week for the delivery of food baskets. Please know that every order placed this week will be honoured. We remind you that the CAB always offers this service to members of the community in need who meet the CAB’s eligibility criteria.
In addition, since the situation related to Covid-19 is now stable, the elected members have also made the decision to no longer accept new requests for Emergency financial assistance ($500). Once again, we remind you that at any time, it is possible to apply for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CEP) by clicking HERE.
OVERSIZED ARTICLE PICK-UP | MONDAY MAY 4TH, 2020
Please note that the collection of large articles will take place as planned on May 4, 2020 in Odanak.
It would be preferable to place your garbage the previous day since the collection is done very early in the morning.
Given the current situation of the Covid-19, the Régie must modify its usual method and request the collaboration of all.
Since there will only be 2 people per truck instead of 3 to respect the social distancing as requested by our government, the collection will be done by the driver and the garbage collector. If the pick-up is not finished the same day, they will finish the next day.
THE RÉGIE DOES NOT PICK-UP
- Used construction materials
- Used automobile batteries
- Tires
- Metals
- Household garbage
- Large waste such as stone, concrete, earth or any other similar waste
- Dangerous substances such as paint, dye, oil, grease or other similar materials as well as containers containing these materials
